Today, 30th October 2020, was the drop of an action treat, a web series titled ‘Bullets’. The MX Player series was supposed to release at midnight tonight, but it has now been cancelled. This new OTT series was set to feature Sunny Leone and Karishma Tanna in the lead roles.
This cancellation was abrupt and we have been given no reason as to why it has happened. This mini-series might likely be released one-by-one so as to garner subscriber activity, but that is just pure speculation as of now. MX Player has even removed the trailer from its twitter handle for the upcoming six-episode short series. We hope that we are not witnessing the cancellation of a series before it even airs.
Sunny Leone and Karishma Tanna will portray Tina and Lolo respectively in this high voltage action series, who are on a quest to gather evidence to thwart an illegal weapons deal between two countries. They come up against a powerful villain in the form of a political leader, who sends his goons after them, who along with local cops chase them around the city.,
This female-centric, nail-biting web series was set to premiere as a feature film at one point, but the OTT platform made the right decision to not edit the script and instead made it into a mini-series, so as not to create any possible plot holes. This has been a trend followed by a lot of streaming platforms these days and we are glad that MX Player is taking notes.
This masala thriller also stars Deepak Tijori, Viveck Vaswani, Amaan F Khan, Taaha Shah and Mohan Kapur in prominent roles. The mini-series is set to be directed by Devang Dholakia.
