MX Player has an intriguing new show coming up soon, most likely in the Diwali weekend. Titled ‘Matsya Kaand’, the show is a crime thriller, with a cat and mouse chase between a conman and a police investigator as the central plot. The MX Player Original Series Matsya Kaand features Ravii Dubey as Matsya Thada and Ravi Kishan as ACP Tejraj Singh in the lead.
MX Player launched the first looks of both characters this afternoon. Both actors, Ravi Dubey and Ravi Kishan, are in never-seen-before avatars. Ravi Kishan, especially, is virtually unrecognisable as ACP Tejraj Singh, while Ravi Dubey’s look is edgy and arresting.
The noir themed series is one of the most highly anticipated web series in the month of November and has been directed by Ajay Bhuyan.
Excited about the release of this con thriller, actor Ravii Dubey said, “This project is really special for me, playing Matsya Thada is such a creatively and personally fulfilling experience and I am hoping that this first look motion poster will leave you intrigued to know more about the show.”
Ravi Kishan added, “Viewers will see me in a very different avatar as ACP Tejraj Singh and like every coin has two sides, Matsya’s Kaand would be incomplete without me.”
‘Matsya Kaand’ is a crime thriller is set in the backdrop of the world of big money, and features a massive con as the central plot. The teaser shows scenes of casinos, disappearing jewellery, piles of crisp currency, police procedurals, and a con artist who pulls off a one-of-a-kind ‘kaand’.
Besides Ravi Dubey and Ravi Kishan, the series boasts an exciting cast of Ravi Gosain, Piyush Mishra, Rajesh Sharma, Pritam Jaiswal, Zoya Afroz, Madhur Mittal and Sanjeev Jotangia. ‘Matsya Kaand’ is directed by Ajay Bhuyan.
