Sathyaraj’s upcoming web series My Perfect Husband will soon be available for streaming on Hotstar. The series by its first look appears to be a family drama starring veteran actors Sathyaraj and Seetha as husband and wife. The series will also feature Livingstone, Rakshan and Aajeedh in important roles.
The project was initiated under the direction of late filmmaker Thamira. After Thamira’s demise in April due to COVID-19 related complications, the project was continued under the direction of Nirmal Kumar. Kumar is known for his direction of the movie Saleem starring Vijay Antony.
The series can be taken as the final work of Thamira in his long career in the industry. Thamira had worked as an assistant to many legendary directors like Bharathiraja and K Balachander. His career as a director started with Rettaisuzhi, which was released in the year 2010. It involved some big names of the industry but could not shine in the eyes of the critics.
My Perfect Husband as the name suggests, is a family drama that talks about the story of an imperfect husband and his family, and how despite this imperfection he is still the perfect husband. Supposedly the series will have 10 episodes. The release poster does not talk about the release date but it is expected to be announced soon.
