Several online sources have been surfacing for quite some time regarding superstar Naga Chaitanya‘s digital debut. And today he finally put a confirmation to this news by posting a picture on Instagram titled “to a new start…”.
The picture depicts Chay appearing on the laptop screen, alongside the script, pen, spectacles, and a watch.
Directed by Vikram Kumar, this horror thriller has been quite a talk of the show business as the actor never really ventured into this interesting space. The web series is titled “Dootha” which means messenger, where he is playing the pivotal character. Reports suggest that the series is of 8 episodes, where each moment reveals unpredictable plots, abounding with mind-boggling mysteries.
Helmer Vikram and Naga Chaitanya had previously collaborated for the 2014 romance/drama movie “Manam”. Recently they finished wrapping up their next project “Thank you”, a rom-com movie, starring Rashi Khanna as the female lead. Reports suggest that it was on the sets of “Thank you” where Vikram proposed the idea of “Dootha” to Naga Chaitanya, making this their third collaboration. According to sources, Chaitanya ventured into this project once again for the third time with Vikram as they share a great rapport and compatibility.
Further reports suggest that Chay will be playing the character of a journalist who seems to don a variety of hats. Produced by Amazon Prime Video, this series is based on the concept of time travel that will commence for 3 seasons. So far Priya Bhavani Shankar has been zeroed in for the female lead by the makers. The rest of the cast and crew are yet to be finalized.
