The makers of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s upcoming film ‘Love Story’ have just announced that the movie’s release has again been postponed owing to ‘unavoidable circumstances’. The film is now set for a worldwide theatrical release on September 24, 2021. Earlier the film was slated to first release in April 2021 and then was postponed to be released today on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, that is, September 10, 2021.
The decision to further delay the film was probably taken because other films like Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Thalaivii’, Vijay Sethupathi’s ‘Laabam’, and the Gopichand starrer sports action movie ‘Seetimarr’ are already running in theatres.
The film’s story ostensibly revolves around an unlikely romance between two youngsters namely Revanth (played by Naga Chaitanya) and Monica (played by Sai Pallavi) and how circumstances force them to relocate from a Telangana village to the city of Hyderabad. In the film, Revanth manages a fitness center in the film while Monica searches for an IT job in the big city. Interestingly, the makers had earlier stated that Naga Chaitanya will be seen speaking Telangana dialect in ‘Love Story’.
Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the Telugu language romantic drama ‘Love Story’ had commenced production back in September 2019 in Hyderabad and Dubai. The shooting of the film was concluded in November 2020, but the release was delayed multiple times because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Besides Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles, the film also features Easwari Rao, Devayani, Rao Ramesh, and Rajeev Kanakala, amongst others, in supporting roles.
