One of the most awaited Telugu movies is ‘The Ghost‘ starring Nagarjuna. The movie has been released in theatres to much fanfare on October 5th and has clashed with Chiranjeevi’s ‘Godfather’, the Telugu remake of the Malayalam movie ‘Lucifer’. As per reports coming in, the post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been already sold to Netflix. Interestingly, the digital rights of ‘Godfather’ is also with Netflix.
‘The Ghost’ is an action thriller and the teasers and trailers were well received by the audience. The movie besides Nagarjuna also stars Sonal Chauhan, Gul Panag, Anikha Surendran, Manish Chaudhari, Ravi Varma, and Srikanth Iyengar. Nagarjuna will be playing the role of Vikram, a retired RAW field operative who is now working in the Indian Embassy. One day, he receives a call from his sister Anu, who requests him to protect her daughter Aditi. The film follows Vikram as he starts protecting Aditi and wages a war against the crime syndicate, which has been terrorizing them.
Nagarjuna’s latest was the mammoth VFX spectacle ‘Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva’ co starring Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Amitabh Bachchan and he had received unanimous praise for his small but impactful role. Many fans even felt his role was one of the best portions of the film.
‘The Ghost’ from the pre-release clips seems to be a sleek action entertainer. The film has also been dubbed in Tamil and released as ‘Ratchan’ and is reportedly Nagarjuna’s biggest release in Kollywood.
The official date for the digital release of ‘The Ghost’ is not yet announced by Netflix.
