Telugu star Nani has released a statement regarding his much awaited upcoming film ‘Tuck Jagadish’ and the ‘Jersey’ star in other words might just have declared an OTT release for the film.
When his landmark 25th film ‘V’ came out on Amazon Prime Video last year, Nani had promised his fans that when theatres open, ‘Tuck Jagadish’ would take over. But looks like the financial crisis caused by financial and political reasons is not going to make that happen.
In the recent statement issued by Nani, the actor expresses his disheartening dilemma and clarifies how he is torn between the pressure faced by the producers and the fan boy of theatres in him. Though he always wanted ‘Tuck Jagadish’ to have a big screen premiere and run full house shows, he has now left the decision in the hands of authorities at Shine Screens, the production company behind the film.
He not just made a mention of the ongoing pandemic scenario but also about the unfortunate restrictions imposed on theatres by the Andhra Pradesh government. The situation for the theatres there is such that recovering even the operational costs is a painstaking task, let alone making profits.
All these financial-cum-political issues can now result in Nani’s second film in a row going for a digital release, something that the actor does not want. Nani has a highly considerable following in the Telugu film market and his movies are watched by large number of audiences. Moreover, the actor would not want to get to a point where his movies, that are made with a lot of hard work for big screen viewing, have to settle for less.

‘Tuck Jagadish’ is a Shiva Nirvana film who is known for commercially and critically acclaimed films like Ninnu Kori and Majili. The masala entertainer film stars Nani, Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh and Jagapathi Babu in prominent roles.
Sahu Garapati and Harish Peddi have produced the film under Shine Screens banner and the decision of choosing ‘Tuck Jagadish’ release format lies entirely in their hands now.
