Nani’s ‘Dasara‘ hit all the right notes to make it a success at the box office. The film features Telugu star Nani in a never seen before role — bold, bloodied and badass. The actor has always been seen in soft, comedy, romantic, sophisticated roles, or in sports dramas; with a stray crime drama film here and there. ‘Dasara’ sees Nani in the role of a tough-as-nails ruffian, with loads of blood, gore and violence at its core.
Dasara released in theatres on 30th March, 2023. After the mandatory 28-day theatrical window, Dasara premiered on OTT today, on streaming giant, Netflix. But alas, film enthusiasts are sorely disappointed to find that Dasara is streaming on Netflix only in the four South languages of Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. This despite the fact that Dasara is a pan-India film, which released in theatres across India in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi.
After the success of massy, masala films like Pushpa: The Rule and the KGF film series, Hindi film viewers have developed a taste for the stylish crime dramas of the South film industries. Imagine their disappointment then, when Dasara has still not been released in Hindi on OTT.

All Hindi films can premiere on OTT only after the mandatory 2-month period is over. Hence, Dasara in Hindi should likely premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar around the 30th of May, or maybe 26th May, if we consider it as an 8-week gap between the theatrical release and OTT release of Dasara.
Dasara is a crime drama, set in the backdrop of the Singareni coal mines of Telangana.
