The much-awaited announcements on the winners of the 69th National Film Awards are finally out. Numerous films from the year 2021 were in contention at the National Awards 2023. For those who don’t know, the National Awards 2023 have taken into consideration all those films that were certified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) between 1st January 2021, and 31st December, 2021. It does not matter if those films hit theatres in the year 2022, as long as they got certified in 2021.
Leading the pack of winners is Oscar winner RRR and Sardar Udham, which have bagged the most awards at the National Awards 2023. The Kashmir Files and Pushpa won their share of awards, along with Gangubai Kathiawadi, Mimi, among others.
