Zee5’s Naxalbari releases on the 28th of November. This web series focuses on an issue many Indian states have been facing for a long time, the issue of naxalites. There always has been between the police force and the naxal bodies. Naxalbari, here is a pure work of fiction, even though it is named after the place in reality that saw the birth of Naxalism in the country.
There have been many movies and short films made on this topic. Most of them were based on real life events as these inspired most directors and producers. Naxalbari, the web series is a star studded affair of pure acting and some good drama and action in it. The story is based mostly on a secret mission where an STF agent goes on a secret mission to get an idea and solve the issues of a secret naxal uprising deep in the jungles.
With wars, gunfires, killings and revenges, it is slowly brought into the notice of STF agent Raghav that things are getting personal here. It is no more a fight between the law and the outlaws. The fight has got a deeper relation now and has everyone’s lives entangled along with it.
It all started when agent Raghav wanted to curb the problem at its root but it will be clearly seen in the web series that this couldn’t have sorted out the issue. The uprising of the naxals and their ambitions that grow bigger and bigger will start getting more attention and only time will be able to tell the main intention of both the sides.
With a stellar cast including Rajeev Khandelwal, Tina Dutta, Sreejita De, Satyadeep Mishra, Aamir Ali and others it looks like a treat for the eyes for people loving the crime thriller genre.
