Another Nayanthara film has skipped theatres and will release directly on OTT. Tamil film ‘O2’ will premiere soon on Disney Plus Hotstar, most likely this May. The film was earlier titled ‘Oxygen’ but has now been named O2.
Disney Plus Hotstar announced the digital release of O2 on its social media handles. The streaming giant hasn’t revealed any release date for the film yet. O2 is a female-centric movie, headlined by Nayanthara. O2 is the third Nayanthara film to release directly on Disney Plus Hotstar, after Mookuthi Amman and Netrikann.
O2 also stars child artiste Rithvik in a critical role. There’s no information on the genre or plot of O2 yet, though it’s said to be an action-packed film. The film is directed by debutant GK Vignesh, who’s earlier worked with renowned filmmaker, Venkat Prabhu. O2 is produced by S R Prakashbabu and S R Prabhu, under their banner, Dream Warrior Pictures. The brothers have recently enjoyed the mega success of KGF Chapter 2, which was distributed by their production house.
