Vidya Balan’s mystery thriller movie ‘Neeyat’ released in theatres on 7th July, 2023. The movie received good reviews from critics, but failed to set the cash registers ringing at ticket windows. The murder mystery movie is produced by Amazon Studios, along with Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment. Since it is an Amazon Studios production, the studio released the movie after a mere six weeks on its own streaming platform Prime Video, albeit as a pay per view movie in its rental store.
But now that Neeyat has spent a couple of weeks in the Prime Video rental store, it’s now time for the movie to release on regular subscription based video on demand. The exclusive theatrical window of 54 days is also exhausted for Neeyat, as mandated by the powers that be at Bollywood.
Those of you who have been waiting to watch Neeyat on regular streaming, we at Binged have got you some good news. Neeyat began streaming on Prime Video India late last night, much to the delight of fans of murder mysteries.
Neeyat is directed by Anu Menon, and stars Vidya Balan in the lead, along with Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli, Shahana Goswami, Neeraj Kabi and Amrita Puri, among others. Vidya Balan plays a detective tasked with investigating the murder of a billionaire. The film gives strong vibes of Rian Johnson’s twin movies, ‘Knives Out’ and ‘Glass Onion’
