Neil Patrick Harris Returns To Netflix With New Comedy Series “Uncoupled”

Neil Patrick Harris, is the name that everyone from this generation knows. He is one of the most important characters in making one of the best sitcom series, iconic. Neil Patrick Harris and his stint as Barney Stinson is well known for his comedic role in the series and to be honest he was actually the “life of the party” for the series. Comedy is “THE” genre for Neil Patrick and he too knows it well. Now, he is returning to the world of comedy and is all set to woo the audience once again.

Neil Patrick Harris is coming with a brand new series and this time it’s on Netflix. The actor has been signed for the lead role in the Netflix comedy series “Uncoupled”. The show is loaded with some of the most experienced executive producers in the comedy series genre. The show will be created and executive produced by “Younger” and “Emily in Paris” creator and executive producer Darren Star, along with longtime Modern Family executive producer Jeffrey Richman. Neil Patrick Harris himself is on board as the executive producer for the show.

The show is being considered as a big comeback-slash-entry once again, for Neil Patrick Harris, into the world of comedy and new-age content. The show will be an extremely high-profile affair since it will be produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and Jax Media. The filming for the series is supposed to begin by the end of this year in New York. As of now, there hasn’t been any information as to who will act alongside Neil Patrick Harris.

As for the show, the story revolves around Neil Patrick Harris’s character that is living his best life in New York with his husband. But one day suddenly, he realizes his world is crumbling down as the love of his life is moving away and no longer wants to be a part of his life. He is shook to the core and now he has two biggest issues hitting him like a thunderbolt. The first being ofcourse, his “soulmate” is leaving him and he is a single gay man in 40s in the vivacious world of New York City,

This show is set to portray Neil Patrick Harris as the true man he is in real life, without altering his sexual identity in the show. This in itself is big, but given it’s Netflix, it is expected as Netflix is all about every kind of equality. As for Neil Patrick Harris, he returns to Netflix for the second time. For the first time, he essayed the role of Count Olaf in “A Series of Unfortunate Events”. He will also be seen next in Warner Bros. much anticipated “ The Matrix 4” which will be released by Dec. 22. Along with this, he has a Lionsgate project titled, “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent”, which releases by April 22.

As for now, there have been no release dates attached to “Uncoupled”, but as per reports, this is one of amongst the many ambitious projects Netflix has at this moment. For more details on the show, keep an eye out for Binged.com.
