Netflix has grabbed the worldwide rights for action thriller film ‘Fast & Loose’ starring Will Smith in the lead. The film came into the market in February and after long negotiations the global streaming giant has finally acquired its rights, leaving behind its competitors.
‘Deadpool 2’ and ‘Hobbs & Shaw’ filmmaker David Leitch is set to direct STXFilms’ ‘Fast & Loose’ with a script from Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber.
As per Netflix, the film follows the story of a man (Will Smith) who wakes up in Tijuana, Mexico with no memories. As he pieces together his past, he learns that he has been living two lives, one as a crime kingpin and the other as an undercover CIA agent.

‘Fast & Loose’ is produced by Leitch and Kelly McCormick for 87North, Smith via his Westbrook Studios. Other producers for the film are Jon Mone, Ryan Shimazaki and James Lassiter.
David Leitch’s upcoming work includes Brad Pitt starrer action thriller film ‘Bullet Train’ based on the novel Maria Beetle by Kōtarō Isaka. The film also stars Lady Gaga, Joey King, Sandra Bullock and Michael Shannon among others.
Academy Award nominated actor Will Smith is known for his roles in films like ‘Ali’, ‘The Pursuit Of Happyness’, ‘Men In Black’ and many more. The 52 year old star will next be seen as Richard Williams, father and coach of iconic tennis players Venus and Serena Williams, in biographical drama film ‘King Richard’ helmed by Reinaldo Marcus Green.
