The multistarrer, ‘Red Notice‘ is releasing directly for streaming in India on Netflix, in a few days. Netflix has been dropping promo after promo recently all around the globe – with the streaming platform getting Dwayne Johnson to make a short promo during Diwali, and letting Indian subscribers know that the streaming platform is going to release this action thriller soon. Almost half a day ago, Netflix dropped a brilliant music video titled “Bach Ke Rehna: Red Notice” on Netflix India’s official YouTube Channel. And tomorrow, Dwayne Johnson as well as Rawson Marshall Thurber, the film’s director, will make an appearance during the Netflix Festival Japan 2021.
Netflix has spent USD 150 million for the creation of ‘Red Notice’ which will make the feature film, the second most expensive movie to stream on the streaming platform upon the film’s OTT premiere. Currently, the most expensive original Netflix movie currently available for streaming within the OTT’s vast library is the 3-hour-plus gangster epic, ‘The Irishmen’. So it makes sense that Netflix is going all out with the film’s promotions.
Pretty much every Netflix channel on YouTube – varying from Netflix Philippines to Netflix UK has a different version of the film promo available for viewing. And this is not even counting the additional promos like the “Bach Ke Rehna: Red Notice” song or the various different hashtags currently trending on Twitter in various parts of the world. Netflix has invested a huge chunk into ‘Red Notice’ and the streaming platform will be hoping for a huge “turnout” for the film as well as an increased amount of subscriptions. While the promos can get a bit repetitive and be jarring at times, it is mostly fun to watch when they are released in creative ways.
The Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds starring ‘Red Notice’ will premiere on Netflix on 12th November 2021.
