This afternoon, Netflix India announced its Indian Originals slate for 2024, which included 20+ titles. Amongst the rush of top filmmakers and stars, one important element stood out like a beacon. Three titles from the fledgling YRF Entertainment made it to the list – the most by any content studio today. For those who don’t know, YRF Entertainment is the streaming content arm of Bollywood biggie, Yash Raj Films.
Netflix and Yash Raj Films tasted massive success with the latter’s first full-fledged scripted web series, ‘The Railway Men’. After the success of that show, it is quite obvious that Netflix would want to further its relationship with YRF Entertainment, and take it to the next level. That explains the 3-title announcement from YRF Entertainment for Netflix today.
The three titles from YRF Entertainment and Yash Raj Films announced by Netflix today include the following –
1. Maharaj – Movie; Coming Soon
Produced by Yash Raj Films, Maharaj is the acting debut of Junaid Khan, Aamir Khan’s son. The story is inspired by true events, and recounts how an ordinary journalist takes on the might of a powerful man, to expose his wrongdoings.

Starring Junaid Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari, Shalini Pandey
2. Vijay 69 – Movie; Coming Soon
Another movie from Yash Raj Films, Vijay 69 stars Anupam Kher as a 69 year old man, who decides to train for and compete in a triathlon. The movie is produced by Maneesh Sharma and directed by Akshay Roy for YRF Entertainment.
3. Mandala Murders – Series; Coming Soon
The murder mystery series stars Vaani Kapoor as Detective Rea Thomas, and Vaibhav Raj Gupta as Detective Vikram Singh, who investigate bone-chilling murders that seem to be part of a sinister plan orchestrated by a century-old secret society. The story is made all the more intriguing by the fact that the villain, victims, survivors and detectives are intricately and deeply connected to each other.
