There will soon be a Netflix show starring Pakistani actors like Mahira Khan, Fawad Khan and many others. This will be the first Pakistan themed Show from the platform. The project is titled ‘Jo Bache Hain Sang Samait Lo’.
The show is being adapted from the Urdu novel of the same name by Farhat Ishtiaq. The novel was published in 2013. It tells the story of Sikandar, a young man suffering from insomnia. He has strange nightmares whenever he gets a little sleep. Sikandar has to go to Italy as a part of his job and there he meets a beautiful Italian girl named Liza. A cute courtship develops between the two but the relationship is strained by the secrets from the past.
The show will star Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan in leading roles. It also has other actors like Sanam Saeed, who acted alongside Fawad in ‘Barakh’, and Ahad Raza Mir. Iqra Aziz, Bilal Ashraf, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Ahad Raza Mir too are in major roles. Fawad Khan is known for his films in Pakistan and India, he also has a huge fanbase owing to his successful television shows in Pakistan. Fawad’s ‘The Legend Of Maula Jatt’ is the all time highest grossing movie of Pakistan. His Netflix debut is quite anticipated and it has all the chances of a huge success.
The series is being shot in Pakistan, Italy and other European countries. Many novels by Ishtiaq, like ‘Mere Humdum Mere Dost’, ‘Diyar-e-Dil’, ‘Humsafar’ have previously been adapted on television and he has a huge reader base as well in the country.
