Netflix, Diljit Dosanjh, Ali Abbas Zafar, and the whole crew of Jogi are taking a huge brave step. 1984 Riots is something that brings chills down our spine whenever we listen to or read about them.
During the first wave of COVID-19, the film starring Diljit Dosanjh, Amyra Dastur, and Zeeshan Ayyub was getting started. The Hindi film tells the story of the 1984 riots in which hideous violence broke out killing a lot of innocent people.
The film is written by Ali Abbas Zafar and Sukhmani Sadana while produced by Himanshu Kishan Khurana and Zafar himself.
As of now, we are not sure about any more details because Netflix has just announced the film.
Telling the story of the ugly riot is not a new thing for Dosanjh as back in 2014 itself he starred in a film called 1984 Punjab. It is streaming for free on MX Player and even won a national award in the category of “Best Feature Film In Punjabi”.
But, soon more details will follow as not a lot of days are left for the release of the film.
Regardless, Jogi will release on Netflix on the 16th of September. Stay tuned to Binged for any update which follows about the film.
