Natural Star Nani‘s Shyam Singha Roy is going to be the first theatrical release of the actor after a long time. Two of his films – V and Tuck Jagadish have skipped their theatrical release and arrived on OTT directly. Fans of the actor are waiting to see him on the big screen.
Shyam Singha Roy has completed its shooting part but will release only in December. The movie involves extensive CG work and so, the team is taking its own time. Meanwhile, Netflix bagged the post-theatrical OTT rights of the movie paying a fancy amount. This is the first major biggie for Netflix in Telugu.
Taxiwala fame Rahul Sankrityan is directing the film. Three beautiful heroines Sai Pallavi, Krithi Shetty, and Madonna Sebastian are playing female leads and several top-notch technicians working for the film. Sai Pallavi and Krithi Shetty are carrying immense hype in Telugu right now and they will bring an added advantage to the movie. After finishing this project, Nani has already moved on to his project, Ante Sundaraniki. Both V and Tuck Jagadish have ended up as a disappointment for Nani. While it is not possible to gauge the success or failure of a Direct-to-OTT release, one thing is sure – the content has been not up to the mark. Nani will look to make amends to that with Shyam Singha Roy.
