Yash Raj Film’s first web series with Netflix ‘The Railway Men’ has now officially got a premiere date. Helmed by Shiv Rawail, ‘The Railway Men’ is set to land on Netflix later next month.
Touted to be a character driven thriller and inspired by true stories, ‘The Railway Men’ is a show based on the deadly gas leak in the central Indian city of Bhopal. A cloud of toxic gas escaped from a pesticide plant, on the night of 2nd December 1984, in the city of Bhopal that injured and claimed thousands of lives.
The show will tell the untold story of the unsung heroes, who rose to the occasion that night to save the city and its people. ‘The Railway Men’ is the story of their courage, their sense of duty and their humanity.
Directed by debutant director Shiv Rawail and starring R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyendu Sharma and Babil Khan in lead roles ‘The Railway Men’ is slated to premiere on Netflix on 18th November, 2023.
Meanwhile, a few days ago Netflix India on its application had mentioned in its coming soon section that ‘The Railway Men’ will release on 17th November but that seemed to be a mistake as it was taken down pretty soon.
Part of a multi-year creative partnership between Netflix and Yash Raj Films, ‘The Railway Men’ is the first project under the deal, with the second being Siddharth P. Malhotra’s ‘Maharaj’ starring Junaid Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari and Shalini Pandey.
