Netflix’s Cobalt Blue Touches Heart And Not The Mass

There are only a few Netflix original films that received unanimous love from both audience and critics. The recently released Cobalt Blue is definitely one of them.

It is an adaptation of a novel of the same name by Sachin Kundalkar and he is also the director of the film. The film was initially scheduled to release in December 2021 but due to unknown reasons, it was delayed.

Now that it has finally been released, people are appreciating the aesthetics and overall visuals that the film hypnotises us with.

It is the story of two siblings, a brother and a sister who fall in love with the same boy who happens to be their paying guest. It stars Prateik Babbar, Neeley Mehendale and Anjali Sivaraman in the lead role.

Needless to say, it is quite an unconventional story which is tough for the masses to accept. A majority of the audience does not watch a movie due to its aesthetics and direction but the story.

But the film definitely had strong potential and there was a great chance for Netflix to utilise. With the help of aggressive marketing, it could happen but it doesn’t appear to be coming true.

As for the film, a new title is not a part of the trending list which is definitely deserved.

So long story short, Cobalt Blue has found a place in the heart of viewers but has not penetrated through the mass appeal.
