Netflix has just announced the release date of the new season of its well-received 2020 show, ‘She’. Season 2 of the erotic thriller will premiere on Netflix on June 17. She Season 2 arrives on Netflix after a delay of almost a year. The streamer had announced She Season 2 in its big fat slate of Indian originals in March 2021. Now, more than a year later, Netflix is finally bringing the much-awaited series for its fans.
‘She’ is the story of Bhumi, a female constable who is mousy, needy and one among the powerless lower ranks of the police machinery. She is chosen by her higher-ups to accomplish a dangerous mission – she has to infiltrate a drug smuggling gang by honey-trapping a goon associated with the gang. She masquerades as a sex worker, and manages to get under the skin of the drug lord.
In the course of the mission, Bhumi discovers that she is in possession of a potent kind of sexuality that wields enormous power. She herself is caught up in the grip of her burgeoning sexuality. ‘She’ traces Bindu’s metamorphosis from a timid powerless constable to a seductive woman who’s afraid of herself and what she’s turned into.
Aaditi Pohankar plays the female constable and Vijay Varma plays the drug lord. The series is written and created by well-known Bollywood writer-director, Imtiaz Ali. It remains to be seen what turn of events will take place in She Season 2, when it drops on Netflix on June 17!
