Amar Singh Chamkila has finally been released on Netflix India. The movie was highly anticipated ever since it was announced more than a year back.
Chamkila, as you may already know stars Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra in the lead roles. But the people behind the camera are better reasons to watch it. Imtiaz Ali directed the film, Irshad Kamil wrote the lyrics and the maestro AR Rahman worked on the music part.
Tall names are fine but the actual content matters much more than anything. So, how’s the film?

After a long long time, we are finally getting a Hindi film that literally has little to no drawback to talk about.
At a time when mediocre films like Fighter get 4 stars from prominent critics, Amar Singh Chamkila is both a lesson and a slap for consumers and producers of cinema.
It is our responsibility as a sensible cinema going audience to appreciate such films. On the one hand, if we complain about the lack of good films, then we must support movies like Chamkila. And things are easier for us because Chamkila is an OTT film.

Imtiaz Ali should release all his films only on OTT coz no one goes to watch his films in theatres and wanna be cinephiles declare them masterpiece on OTT. NGL If #Chamkila movie had been released in theatres, it would have been criticized a lot nd would have been disaster.
