Hansal Mehta’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’ netflix debut was highly awaited and now that it’s on the platform, a new issue has risen with the Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer film.
The film is streaming without the original audio and Netflix clearly mentions it on the platform that it will be coming soon. ‘The Buckingham Murders’ is currently streaming in Hindi – Dubbed with English subtitles. The other audio’s available are Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish. This means the original Hinglish audio is missing from the platform.
This has ruined the viewing experience for many who find it annoying to listen British origin characters speaking Hindi. But why did Netflix fail to upload the original audio? If any of the dubbed versions was missing it could have ignored but not being able to watch in original audio does make it frustrating for those who had been eagerly waiting for the film.
Coming to quick rescue of the audience was film’s director Hansal Mehta who addressed the issue on his social media handle and found it “ridiculous to not have the original version on the service”. He further cited that there were certain technical issues on Netflix’s end due to which original Hinglish audio is unavailable and they are trying to rectify it. In fact he is constantly updating on the matter on his X handle.
Just saw that Sethu. It is ridiculous not to have the film’s original version on the service. Have alerted @NetflixIndia about it. Hopefully this is rectified soon enough.

I cannot make it happen unfortunately. The problem is with the service. @NetflixIndia is working on resolving this technical problem at their end. https://t.co/26vBluW9tt

Issues like this are unfortunate and unexpected from streaming giants like Netflix and they definitely can do much better! Hopefully the original Hinglish version for ‘The Buckingham Murders’ will be uploaded soon.
