At this year’s all virtual AnimeJapan 2021, Netflix revealed its diversified sale and fan-favorite voice cast for fans not only in Japan but all around the world. Doubling the number of titles from last year, Netflix announced that it will launch around 40 new anime titles on the platform this year for its global viewers.
Among the major announcements made by Netflix we have the release date of the anime adaptation of hit manga ‘Record of Ragnarok’, trailer and launch date of ‘Eden’ and an all new look at ‘Yasuke’ along with its release announcement. These will join Netflix’s expanding slate of previously announced anime titles like the comedic, slice-of-life series ‘The Way of the Househusband’ (premiering April 8, 2021) and the popular ‘RESIDENT EVIL: Infinite Darkness’ (premiering later this year).
AnimeJapan 2021 also included appearances from Japanese voice talents Kenjiro Tsuda (‘The Way of the Househusband’), Marika Kono (‘Eden’) and Toshiyuki Morikawa (‘RESIDENT EVIL: Infinite Darkness’).
The latest anime titles, like EDEN and Yasuke, are projects with brand new stories brought to life by a wealth of international creators, and as per Netflix it will further strengthen the stream giant’s ambitions to diversify their lineup of original anime by working with top creators from both in- and outside of Japan.
