Netflix dropped the trailer for a spin-off web series ‘Snabba Cash’, which is set in the same world as the well known Swedish crime film trilogy, also called ‘Snabba Cash’, more popularly known as ‘Easy Money’. The film series was inspired by the fourth best selling novel from Sweden in 2007 by Jen Lapidus, which is also of the same name. Check out this trailer at the end of this article.
Adapted from the book series, this new web series follows a young widower Leya portrayed by Evin Ahmad, who wants to get rich and provide a better life for her son. Although we do not understand what the series is fully about, we know there is drugs, violence and killing involved. As Leya tries to stay on the path of the straight and narrow, her choice of keeping the wrong people in her life comes back to haunt her in the long run.
Leya has a brother-in-law who wants to see his nephew, but Leya refuses to let him meet her son, as long as he is still a part of the underground cocaine trade. When she ends up in trouble and owes eight million Swedish Krona (Rs. 6.86 crore) to the investment company she made her way into, she is forced to take up some nefarious jobs to break even.
This 6-episode thriller TV series is expected to drop next month on Netflix. Alexander Abdallah, Ayaan Ahmed, Ali Alarik and Dada Fungula Bozela star alongside Evin Ahmad in this Netflix original web series. Oskar Söderlund, Michael Hjorth, Mona Masri and Mikkel Bak Sørensen all have writing credits for this upcoming crime thriller while Jesper Ganslandt and Måns Månsson directed it.
‘Snabba Cash’ is expected to drop on April 7th 2020 on Netflix.
