Netflix Have Not Dropped DOTA: Dragon’s Blood S2 Trailer Officially!

Many of you DOTA fans out there would know this by now already, the highly anticipated season 2 trailer of the Netflix animated series, DOTA: Dragon’s Blood, has already been released and viewed by millions online. This trailer dropped over two days ago, during the second last day of “The International” (TI) tournament – the biggest DOTA 2 tournament in the world. The promo video has also given us an expected release date for the web series and revealed some new information regarding this brilliant show and the game as well. But even after 48 hours, Netflix still hasn’t released the trailer on its official social media pages.

The trailer which was released during the TI tournament came as a surprise to many and DOTA fans around the globe have been going nuts online ever since the promo video aired. A couple of new characters have been added to the show and they are based on the heroes from the same game. However, as a twist, the game developers have decided to add a new character from the show to the game – Marci. All of this is good enough for an official promo, so Netflix is likely taking its time with the trailer release so we can get an official release date. So far, we only know which month the web series will release in.

DOTA: Dragon’s Blood is an animated series based on the famous MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) game DOTA 2 (Defense of the Ancients). While the game has been on the decline for some time, with the number of players playing the game having reduced from over 12 million almost 5-6 years ago to less than 2 million now. The Netflix web series did manage to bring back some of the attention, but the game is still not played by many. The aforementioned DOTA tournament, The TI, had over 15 million viewers and it is one of its most successful tournaments so far.

The second season of DOTA: Dragon’s Blood is expected to premiere on Netflix in January 2022. Since there is no official trailer released by Valve (the game production company) or Netflix, check out this tweet which features the aforementioned trailer:
