With a new short clip Netflix has quite clearly hinted season two for the much successful recent series ‘Wednesday’. Tim Burton’s supernatural horror comedy drama ‘Wednesday’ gained huge popularity upon its release.
So much so that it went on to became the second most viewed series on Netflix ever. As per the latest official numbers the comedy mystery held on to the #1 spot with 103.96M hours viewed and has had six consecutive weeks with over 100+M hours viewed on the English TV List.
With an ominous music in the background, the latest video has Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) hitting the keys on the typewriter where she puts a question mark after “The End”. Now that’s clear enough to understand that the end is yet to come and the fans wanted exactly that.
In ‘Wednesday’ season 1, Wednesday Addams is expelled from her provincial public high school for an incident involving a group of bullies, a swimming pool and a bag of ravenous piranhas. She then finds herself sent away to Nevermore Academy — the mysterious magical boarding school where her parents first met.
There, Wednesday learns a lot more than what can be found in any textbook as a string of brutal murders lures her into a mystery that will test her typically ice-cold level of detachment.
‘Wednesday’ is show run by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (‘Smallville’) with Tim Burton (‘Beetlejuice’, ‘Ed Wood’) directing several episodes. The series stars Jenna Ortega, Gwendoline Christie, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Emma Myers and Hunter Doohan.
