August didn’t bring any surprises on Netflix India. The two series on the platform came out to be good, but it was expected from them. The absence of any original film was felt throughout the month.

Analysis
This month was about scanty releases on Netflix India. As you can see, there isn’t any section of Original Films this month, because Netflix didn’t provide any original series in August.
But the platform has already doubled the joy as there are two original films slated for September.
Regardless, both the series came out to be astounding. The Hunt For Veerappan is an insanely powerful documentary series that captures the life of Veerappan with detail and cinematic brilliance. It is engaging and even the views worked out to be good.
Guns & Gulaabs, the series by Raj & DK came out to be a big hit on Netflix, not only in India but also worldwide. The series has its share of flaws but still comes out to be highly entertaining nonetheless.
The licensed films this month were not very impactful, either their views were very less or they were Adipurush. Under both circumstances, it was not a good thing for Netflix.
Netflix India deserves a 6 out of 10 for August 2023. Thanks to the great series.
