Netflix India Breaks Its 5 Months-Old Streak In May! How?

By Binged Bureau - May 18, 2022 @ 10:05 am

Since December Netflix India has continuously been making original shows every month. In December they released Raveena Tandon starrer Aranyak and one other show called Decoupled. It had R. Madhavan and Surveen Chawla in the lead roles and were greatly celebrated by the masses.

In January they came up with “Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein‘ which starred Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi and Anchal Singh in the lead role.

In February they came up with “The Fame Game”. After Sacred Games, it is perhaps the biggest achievement of Netflix India. It starred Madhuri Dixit and was immensely successful. Madhuri Dixit’s stardom helmed the show garner great views but even after that, Lakshvir Saran, Muskkaan Jaferi and Suhasini Mulay nailed their roles. Manav Kaul and Sanjay Kapoor are veterans and dived deep into their roles. No wonder the series performed magically and became a thunderous success.

In March they released “Eternally Confused And Eager For Love”. One might need a notebook to remember the name of the show and it was one more addition to the woke content on Netflix. When India has uncountable stories to tell, they chose the story of a millennial boy who was having trouble dating. Regardless, it is their freedom to do so.

In April Netflix India started streaming “Mai”. It had Sakshi Tanwar in the lead role who is a well-known face in the TV industry. Her character arc was really appreciable when she transforms into a fierce warrior after suffering from a personal tragedy.

Yesterday Netflix India released its May second half calendar and just like the first half, it does not have any original Indian show.

So Netflix India has finally broken its 5-month-old streak. But it’s just the silence before the storm because there are a lot of things to come from the streaming giant. They have renewed She, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, Masaba Masaba, and Mismatched.

Also, new series such as Guns & Gulaabs, CAT, Scoop and Soup are coming to the platform.

Talking about foreign series then they always keep us overwhelmed with them. This month it is Stranger Things for which the world is waiting.

So this small break hardly matters as Netflix India is armoured to overwhelm us with original series.
