Analysis
January had a very prominent film release on Netflix. We are talking about Mission Majnu. The movie was nowhere near perfect and it was strictly an average film.
However, the movie was received decently by the audience in terms of views. Also, it had a fairly great buzz in Pakistan. The movie was released at the right time and it very well utilized the occasion of republic day. Overall, Mission Majnu even after being an average film was a beneficial deal for Netflix.
The next in the line is their original series Trial By Fire. It is an extraordinary series that is almost near perfection. The storytelling, performance, and overall concept were heart-wrenching. The series did not garner some exceptionally high views but it was certainly a decent success. Netflix India needs to make more such series to elevate their standard and reach amongst the masses.
There were several licensed films on Netflix last month but the most prominent amongst them was An Action Hero. The film miserably failed at the box office but it was a really good film. Thankfully it got the recognition it deserves on Netflix. Suddenly a lot of people watched the movie and it became an instant hit on OTT.
Thus we can give Netflix India 6.5 points out of 10 for entertaining us.
