Netflix India announced the launch of its new original series ‘O Saathi Re’ today and the glimpse of the cast and crew coming together for a script reading session was enough to excite the audience.
Created, written and show run by acclaimed filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, ‘O Saathi Re’ is touted to be an intricate love story that explores contemporary human emotions. It is described as an ode to vintage feeling of love in modern times.
The very theme is captured in the announcement video of ‘O Saathi Re’ too which captures your attention instantly with its warm, cozy and dreamy vibe. It also makes you reimagine the Imtiaz Ali magic that he brings with his stories to the screen every time.
‘O Saathi Re’ looks unique from the get go and given the talent powerhouses like Aditi Rao Hyadri, Arjun Rampal and Avinash Tiwary, attached with the project, Netflix might just have got his hands on a big one.
All three lead stars have been in collaboration with Netflix in the recent past. Hyadri was seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi’, Rampal will soon be seen in ‘Rana Naidu’ season 2 and Tiwary did ‘Sikandar Ka Muqaddar’ with the streaming giant.
In fact, Imtiaz Ali’s last project ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ too was with Netflix and it was a smashing hit. Well, nothing else is expected from ‘O Saathi Re’ too.
‘She’ director Arif Ali is on board to helm ‘O Saathi Re’ which is co-written by Amongh Kanaskar. Executive producers for the show include Imtiaz Ali, Mohit Choudhary, Vishal Bajaj and Pratik Nandkumar with Nidhi Sethia serving as creative producer.
A Window Seat Films and Reliance Entertainment production, ‘O Saathi Re’ will premiere soon only on Netflix.
