March 2023 was a phenomenal month for Netflix India. The platform performed phenomenally well in comparison to usual months but at a huge cost. Unfortunately, that cost is being paid not only by Netflix but all the OTT platforms operating in India.
Regardless, before we analyze, let’s have a look at all the important titles released on the platform last month.
Original Film
Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga
Caught Out: Crime Corruption Cricket

Analysis
Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga was the most prominent film on Netflix last month. It has been getting good reviews and great views. In fact, the views are surprisingly great and are almost near RRR. Looks like this is a sleeper hit that worked well for the platform.
Caught Out is a documentary film based on match fixing. It could have been sensational given the religious popularity of cricket in India, but it was nothing more than a fiasco that no one even talked about.
Rana Naidu is an interesting title. It received exceptionally great views which is very rare on the platform. But it was just instantaneous hype which is going to harm the platform in the long run. They completely ruined the expectations of the Telugu fanbase through extensive and forced adult scenes. Such obscene content usually gains views but doesn’t take long to tarnish the image as well. Netflix and the people involved in Rana Naidu have done that harm to themselves already.
The licensed films this month were not so great in terms of buzz and views. The films failed to garner much appreciation but the originals filled the repercussions.
So Netflix India deserves a 7.5 this month.
