Time flies indeed. The first three months of 2024 are already over. Last year was indeed phenomenal for Netflix India but how did March 2024 go for the streaming giant?

Analysis
Let’s talk about the series first. Netflix brought the courtroom dramedy “Maamla Legal Hai” with a notably huge cast. The dramedy looks fine, but it is nothing more than a mere fine. The comedy failed to do any sort of wonder and came out to be average. Recently, Netflix has massively improved their series slate, so we shouldn’t really mind one or two average shows.
Regardless, Murder Mubarak was more or less a disappointment. The film got very average views and even the reviews were negative to average. The huge star cast gave a little opportunity for most of the characters to develop and the sheer predictability was a big turn off.
What happened to the licensed films then?
It was handled by two films. Namely, Fighter and Merry Christmas. The two movies kept the excitement high at Netflix India and people gave very warm responses to the two films. Thundu and Anweshippin Kandethum got some hype but died down soon too.
Overall, the two licensed films were the only saving grace for Netflix India in March 2024. We can’t give more than 4 out of 10 to Netflix India this month.
