Revered filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, known for controversies these days, was once celebrated for his remarkable contributions to Bollywood. He directed path-defining films like Satya, Rangeela, and, later, the less impactful but still astonishing film “Veerappan.”
The 2016 film, though not a huge hit, was a good film nonetheless. It revolved around the notorious smuggler Veerappan, who was undoubtedly one of the most dangerous criminals in history. Veerappan engaged in activities such as kidnapping politicians and smuggling sandalwood, which caused immense trouble for government agencies over the years.
Netflix documentaries have earned a reputation for being worth watching, as exemplified by titles like “House of Secrets: The Burari Deaths” and “The Elephant Whisperers.” It will be intriguing to discover the unknown facets of Veerappan that this documentary series, titled “The Hunt For Veerappan,” will explore.
Netflix has developed a peculiar habit of not announcing their series on social media. Instead, they simply list the series on the app. However, Binged is dedicated to uncovering such information.
“The Hunt For Veerappan” is scheduled for release on August 4. While the teaser of the show can be watched on the app, more updates are expected to follow.
Stay tuned to Binged for all the latest information on the OTT industry.
