Netflix is stepping into the spotlight at WAVES 2025 in Mumbai, and it’s doing things a little differently this time. From May 1 to 4 at the Jio World Convention Centre, the streaming giant is going beyond just screens and apps. They’re creating a real-world experience for fans with something called the Netflix Pavilion. A space where visitors can walk through and explore the worlds of their favourite shows and films. It’s not just about watching anymore, it’s about feeling like you’re part of the story.
Netflix is bringing a lot of shows to India that can be a great experience for people. For instance, the upcoming show The Royals. If there are props from that show, then who wouldn’t want to experience a bit of royalty? But as of now, it is clear which shows will be a part of the whole experience.
The biggest highlight? Co-CEO Ted Sarandos will be speaking live at the event on Saturday. That’s a big deal, and it shows just how serious Netflix is about India. He’s expected to talk about the future of entertainment and why India is playing such a key role. If he makes some big announcement, then it will be bonkers for how the platform is positioned in the market. Last time Mr. Sarandos announced something, the show was as big as Heeramandi; let’s see what happens this time.
