Netflix India bagged a big star-led Hindi film even before it was released. And why not? It was directed by Rohit Shetty who is known as the hit machine of commercial cinema in Bollywood. But, things got out of hand for the filmmaker.
You must be aware by now, that we are talking about Cirkus. The film led by Ranveer Singh and Pooja Hegde is a total fiasco not only in the cinemas but also on Netflix. Normally, films that failed at the box office find a sort of acceptance on OTT but it was not true for Cirkus.
Take the case of Ayushmaan Khurrana’s An Action Hero, it is a really good film and was greatly appreciated after its Netflix release. So is true for Vadh and so many more.
But, Cirkus is nothing more than a troll fest. Right from the start to the end, it is difficult for us to find anything appreciative in the film. The story, the acting, and even the comic elements are really pathetic and the audience is sharp enough to notice that.
The reactions may sound hilarious to us, but it must not be the case with the filmmakers and Netflix. Regardless, check out some reactions by those who dared to watch Cirkus on Netflix.
#Cirkus – Stopped after 30 mins. Cartoon level color tone, kovam vara maari cringe comedy, extremely poor VFX, easily the most artificial & pathetic movie watching experience in just this 30 mins..pic.twitter.com/jyb3FoM2eP

Too much of comedy talent wasted in a single movie @iamrohitshetty #Cirkus
You had all the comedy characters of modern bollywood but still no one was utilized to their potential. Disappointment.— Dædwan (@owaisbhat41) February 20, 2023
Such a bad film. Wasted 40 minutes hoping for it to become better. But it worsened.#Cirkus
