Netflix India’s Top 10 Films & Series to Watch in the 28th November Week

For Netflix India’s top ten films list, the top-ranked title has been bagged by the Hindi version of the political action thriller movie ‘GodFather’ starring Chiranjeevi in the lead role. While on the second and the third spots of the Netflix list are the crime thriller movie ‘Dhokha – Round D Corner’ and the Rajkummar Rao starrer mystery thriller ‘Monica, O My Darling’.

On the Netflix top ten TV shows front, this week’s top spot has been bagged by Neeraj Pandey’s crime action-drama series ‘Khakee: The Bihar Chapter’ followed by the horror comedy series ‘Wednesday’ and the German sci-fi mystery series ‘1899’.

TOP 10 MOVIES ON NETFLIX INDIA THIS WEEK

10. Fifty Shades Darker

Helmed by James Foley, the romantic drama is the second movie of the ‘Fifty Shades’ film series. The sequel revolves around how Christian (Jamie Dornan) re-enters the life of Ana (Dakota Johnson) and how they try to revive their relationship under new terms and conditions. But Christian’s past acts as a deterrent for Ana’s future with him.

9. Kumari

The mythological horror thriller movie features Aishwarya Lekshmi in the titular role of Kumari, who gets married into an affluent family in a far-off place. She relocates to her husband Dhruvan’s (Shine Tom Chacko) ancestral house in a cursed land ruled by superstition and tradition.

8. Slumberland

Helmed by Francis Lawrence, the fantasy-adventure movie is based on American cartoonist Winsor McCay’s classic comic book series titled ‘Little Nemo in Slumberland’. The film’s underlying plot revolves around a young hero Nemo (played by Marlow Barkley), who is guided by an eccentric outlaw Flip (played by Jason Momoa) through a secret dream world.

7. The Swimmers

Directed by Sally El Hosaini, the biographical drama follows the incredible story of two brave sisters who used their swimming skills to try to save a group of refugees stuck in the middle of the Aegean Sea. Later, the two sisters participated at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

6. Drishyam

Helmed by Nishikant Kamat, the mystery thriller features Ajay Devgn as Vijay Salgaonkar – a 4th-grade pass ordinary but street-smart cable network owner and a diehard movie buff. His life takes a drastic turn when his family is accused by the police of the suspected murder of the missing son of a senior cop (Tabu). How the desperate father hatches a brilliant plan to save his family, forms the film’s underlying premise.

5. Padavettu

The political action thriller movie focuses on the oppressed segment of people in Northern Kerala. The film’s plot follows the protagonist Ravi (played by Nivin Pauly), who takes a stand against an opportunist politician and becomes the saviour of the oppressed and the downtrodden in his village.

4. GodFather

The political action thriller movie features veteran actor Chiranjeevi as the titular protagonist GodFather aka Brahma, who rises amidst extreme circumstances after the death of a senior political leader. Amidst the ruthless succession battle, he must face some corrupt elements with the help of his trusted aide Masoom Bhai (Salman Khan).

3. Monica, O My Darling

Directed by Vasan Bala, the mystery thriller movie features Rajkummar Rao as a robotics expert who gets involved in a passionate affair but eventually ends up being blackmailed. Desperate to get out of the mess, he teams up with a bunch of unlikely allies and intends to execute the perfect murder. The movie also features Huma Qureshi, Radhika Apte, and Sikander Kher, etc. in important roles.

2. Dhokha – Round D Corner

The crime thriller movie helmed by Kookie Gulati follows the story of a terrorist who breaks into the house of a married couple. The wife, who is suffering from a personality disorder, is taken hostage, and the incident brings forth a series of lies and secrets. The film features Madhavan, Khushali Kumar, Aparshakti Khurana, and Darshan Kumar, amongst others.

9. Business Proposal

The South Korean show follows the story of a woman named Shin Ha-ri, who goes out on a blind date instead of her unwilling friend. However, by a twist of fate, the prospective partner she meets turns out to be the CEO of the company where she works.

8. Elite

It’s a Spanish drama thriller show that is set amidst the backdrop of an elite school called Las Encinas in Spain. Narrated in two timelines, the show’s plot revolves around the glaring disparities between the school’s super affluent students and their working-class teenage counterparts.

7. The Crown

The big-budget historical drama television series revolves around the royal family and chronicles the life of Queen Elizabeth-II from the year of her wedding until modern times. The show touches upon several events including the Suez crisis, Prince Edward’s birth, the tenures of various Prime Ministers, and Prince Charles’s marriage to Princess Diana, etc.

6. Manifest

The mystery sci-fi series revolves around a group of passengers who somehow safely land after a turbulent flight. However, they soon learn that five years have already passed mysteriously in such a short time and the world has moved on after assuming that they were gone forever. They soon realize that their second chance is meant for something greater.

5. Blood, Sex & Royalty

A modern rendition of the British royal drama revolves around the lives of history’s deadliest and the most iconic monarchs.

4. Mismatched

An adaptation of Sandhya Menon’s bestseller, ‘When Dimple Met Rishi’, the series features Rohit Saraf and Prajakta Koli as two teens who become friends during a summer program.

3. 1899

Set in the year 1899 and from the makers of ‘Dark’, the eight-episode German mystery sci-fi series revolves around a group of European immigrants travelling aboard a steamship from London to New York. Their journey takes a mind-boggling and an incredibly adventurous turn after they encounter another mysterious ship out on the open sea.

2. Wednesday

The horror comedy series focuses on The Addams Family character named Wednesday Addams (played by Jenna Ortega). The story is about how the titular protagonist, a gothic teenage girl, hones her psychic abilities and attempts to investigate a series of brutal killings.

1. Khakee: The Bihar Chapter

Neeraj Pandey’s crime action-drama series revolves around the violent face-off between an upright super-cop and a dreaded criminal amidst the backdrop of chaos, violent and rampant corruption. It features an ensemble cast that includes Karan Tacker, Avinash Tiwari, Abhimanyu Singh, Ravi Kishan, Ashutosh Rana, and Anup Soni, amongst others.
