Netflix India’s Top 10 Films & Series to Watch in the 7th November Week

For Netflix India’s top ten films list, the top-ranked title has been bagged by Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill starrer film ‘Enola Holmes 2’. While on the second and the third spots of the Netflix list are the Telugu and Hindi language versions of the action thriller movie ‘The Ghost’ starring Nagarjuna in the lead role.

On the Netflix top ten TV shows front, this week’s top spot has been bagged by the mystery sci-fi series ‘Manifest’ followed by the rom-com ‘Mismatched’ and the Arabic reality series ‘Dubai Bling’.

10. The School for Good and Evil

Based on Soman Chainani’s 2013 novel of the same name, the fantasy comedy film revolves around best friends Sophie and Agatha, who are taken to the magical School of Good and Evil where their friendship is put under test.

9. Enola Holmes

Based on Nancy Springer’s book of the same name, ‘Enola Holmes’ is set in 1884 England and follows the adventures of Sherlock Holmes’s free-spirited 16-year-old rebellious sister Enola Holmes. When Enola Holmes discovers that her mother has mysteriously disappeared, the sharp teenager sets out on a mission to find her missing mother and eventually teams up with a young Lord to unravel a far-reaching conspiracy.

The Dutch crime thriller movie follows the story of an ethical hacker Mel Bandison, who must prove her innocence after she accidentally shuts down an international criminal empire.

7. Dobaaraa

Helmed by Anurag Kashyap, the mystery thriller movie is a time-bending drama starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. Inspired by Oriol Paulo’s ‘Mirage’, the film’s premise revolves around two similar storms separated by 25 years and how a woman connects with a 12-year-old boy from the past through a television set.

6. Laal Singh Chaddha

Directed by Advait Chandan, the film is an official remake of Robert Zemeckis’ Oscar-winning movie ‘Forrest Gump’ starring Tom Hanks. It features Aamir Khan in the titular role of a good-hearted man with a subpar IQ. How the protagonist inadvertently becomes a part of important events and how he progresses in life through a simple-minded and uncomplicated approach forms the film’s underlying plot line. The movie also features Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya, Manav Vij, and Mona Singh in pivotal roles.

5. Rakshan The Ghost

Helmed by David Leitch (Deadpool 2, Hobbs & Shaw), the action-comedy movie is based on Japanese author Kotaro Isaka’s book ‘Maria Beetle’. The film’s underlying premise revolves around five assassins traveling on a Japanese bullet train and how their individual missions intersect in the high-speed adventure. Brad Pitt essays the role of an experienced but unlucky mercenary.

The sequel focuses on Enola Holmes’ first official case: finding the missing sister of an impoverished girl and how she tries to solve it with the help of her friends and her genius brother Sherlock.

The South Korean series revolves around the romantic relationship between a brilliant PR head Oh Han-byul and a much-loved, top notch star Gong Tae-sung with a dark past.

8. Stranger Things

The initial story, set in the 1980s, revolves around a young boy’s disappearance and the ensuing investigation by his mother, police chief, and his friends amidst supernatural events. The sci-fi horror series (latest season) follows the aftereffects of the devastating Battle of Starcourt at the Hawkins town in Indiana. The show’s young protagonists are now living separately and trying to move on in their lives. At this juncture, a long-buried, supernatural threat that connects everything, emerges on Earth and the Upside Down.

7. Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities

The eight-part horror anthology series has been created by Academy Award-winning Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro and is based on his own short story bearing the same name.

Steven Moffat’s dark mystery drama series follows a prisoner (Stanley Tucci), who is facing death penalty in the US and how he assists a British journalist, who is trying to find a friend who has suddenly gone missing.

Based on Sally Green’s ‘Half Bad’ novel trilogy, the fantasy series follows a 16-year-old boy named Nathan, who is the son of a powerful and dangerous witch responsible for a ruthless massacre and how he tries to find his own place in the world.

4. Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega

‘Jamtara’ is set in the Jamtara region of the Eastern Indian State of Jharkhand. The premise is about a group of small-town and ambitious youngsters led by the protagonists Rocky (Anshuman Pushkar) and Sunny (Sparsh Shrivastava) who are the brains behind a profitable social engineering phishing operation.

The Arabic reality series focuses on a group of affluent Arab millionaires from different fields and their lavish lifestyles in the city of bling.
