Set against the backdrop of dysfunctional family dynamics and delving into the darker sides of relationships, ‘Kohrra’ is being described as an investigative mystery drama series which revolves around an NRI, who gets killed in a Punjab countryside just a few days before his wedding. Thereafter, the police department assigns two cops, who begin to investigate the perplexing case, thereby revealing some dark secrets about the dysfunctional family.
Another interesting thing about the Netflix show is that it also features English actress Rachel Shelley, who is well known for essaying the important role of Elizabeth Russel in Ashutosh Gowariker’s Oscar-nominated film ‘Lagaan’ starring Aamir Khan in the lead role. Besides, ‘Kohrra’ also features Varun Badola, Harleen Sethi, and Manish Chaudhary, amongst other cast members.
Like another previous dark and gritty Netflix cop drama series ‘CAT’, the upcoming mystery crime thriller show ‘Kohrra’ too will have a mix of both Hindi and Punjabi languages. ‘Kohrra’ has been created by Gunjit Chopra (writer of ‘Pataal Lok’ and ‘Taish’) and Diggi Sisodia. With around three weeks left for the release of ‘Kohrra’, Netflix is expected to unveil the show’s trailer very soon.
