Adaptations are fine but too many of them spoil the fun. This is exactly the case with so many titles around the globe. If the latest order from Netflix doesn’t turn out to be extraordinary then the same would be true for them as well.
We are talking about City Hunters. Those who keep an eye on the Manga world are well aware that City Hunters is a legendary manga series that appeared from 1985-91.
So starting in 1987 itself, manga started getting adapted into the media. Since then there are above 15 films/series that are either based on the manga or are spin-offs of the same.
Regardless, the adaptation will be the first live-action film from Japan. Popular actor Ryohei Suzuki will be playing the lead role of Ryo Saeba. It will be helmed by filmmaker Yuichi Sato.
The film will touch the tones of the 80s but will be set in the present time. It will revolve around the super busy streets of Shinjuku.
City Hunters is eyeing a release date somewhere in 2024. The film is about the leading man who teams up with his dead partner’s sister to kill the culprit. What follows is for the film to show.
