Premiered in 2018, have had three seasons and with the final season just a week from now, Netflix doesn’t want to let go of ‘On My Block’ yet and thus ‘Freeridge’, a spin-off series for the coming-of-age comedy is on the way!
Yes you read that right, Netflix has placed a series order for ‘Freeridge’, a spin-off that will continue the stories from ‘On My Block’ ahead of the 4th October premiere of the fourth and final season of the young adult show about four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain and the newness of high school set in the rough inner city.
Along with the announcement Netflix also dropped a teaser for the upcoming fourth season of ‘On My Block’ where Monse, Ruby, Jamal, Cesar, and Jasmine are all going their separate ways two years later. But when a secret is unburied, they quickly learn you can’t run from the past and they will need to stick together to survive.

‘Freeridge’ has been created and executive produced by ‘On My Block’ co-creators Lauren Iungerich (creator of Awkward), Eddie Gonzalez and Jeremy Haft along with ‘On My Block’ co-producer Jamie Uyeshiro and ‘On My Block’ co-executive producer Jamie Dooner. Iungerich, Gonzalez and Haft also serve as showrunners for the new series.
‘On My Block’ season 4 will premiere on Netflix on 4th October, 2021.
