Netflix Remake Of American Psycho In The Works With Kim Soo-hyun

American Psycho is getting ready for a South Korean remake to be released on Netflix. The rest of the details though aren’t clear, the lead role is offered and apparently will be played by Kim Soo-hyun. The movie is getting a remake after 20 years of its release. The other roles though aren’t confirmed yet but the news is confirmed that Kim Soo-hyun is roped in to play the role of a sociopath.

If anyone who hasn’t watched American Psycho should brace themselves if they are an ardent fan of Kim Soo-hyun because, this might alter the image of our sweet little Korean Oppa altogether. If truth be spoken, I think no one else can be a better fit for this character than Kim Soo-hyun. Though the complete confirmation is yet to come but sources close to him have revealed this to be completely true.

The Hollywood movie was directed by Mary Barron and starred Christian Bale in the lead with Bret Easton Ellis, Jared Leto and William Dafoe as the supporting cast. The American version has garnered a lot of attention and love over the years and continues to do so. The remake in Korean is supposed to be made into a drama, rather than a film as South Korean Dramas have always ended up getting more recognition. The movie revolves around an Interior Designer who is almost too good to be true but within him holds a sociopathic, reckless killer. It will be interesting to see how Kim Soo-hyun portrays this role after his last drama, “It’s Okay to be No Okay” that went on to become one of the highest grossing dramas of all the year and also for all time.

The drama is to be directed by director Jung Ji woo, the title is also confirmed and is named “Finger” and will be a Netflix original.
