Netflix Removes Shia LaBeouf’s Name From Upcoming Movie Amid Lawsuit & Controversy

Upcoming movie on Netflix, “Pieces of a Woman” has a controversy surrounding it around the moment. More specifically, one of the leads, which is Shia LaBeouf, who has gotten himself stuck with another controversy and this time it is regarding ex-girlfriend, singer-songwriter FKA twigs. FKA twigs recently filed a complaint against LaBeouf on the grounds of physical and mental abuse.

It is no more a hidden secret that Shia LaBeouf has been struggling with his own set controversies as the years go by. Along with he has even come out as alcoholic and someone that has struggled with substance too. The recent complaint made by FKA Twigs is said to have mentioned the fact that he had been relentlessly abusing her during their relationship and also mentioned the fact he apparently had given her an STD, without her knowing about any such things.

In the past too, Shia Labeouf has been in the news for his abusive nature towards his past girlfriends and also his aggressions towards issues. He has already come out about his mental health to the public, stating that he has PTSD and has been undergoing treatment. After the lawsuit was filed against him by Twigs, he has said that he is in no position to answer that at the moment and he cannot excuse the fact that his alcoholism and aggression has been issues for him over the years. He also expected most of the time it is his near and dear ones that faces his wrath and ends up hurting him.

Now, news is out in the open that Netflix has clearly and evidently dropped his name from the upcoming movie, “Pieces of a Woman” which now states the names of the other two main leads. His co-star in the movie, Vanessa Kirby though hasn’t addressed his name publicly but has seriously condemned such acts and has without fail, said “I stand with all survivors of abuse and respect the courage of anyone who speaks the truth. Regarding the news I cannot comment on an ongoing legal case”

Even though it has been said that “Pieces of a Woman” is a true contender for the Academy Awards, Netflix didn’t stand with an abuser and was quick to remove LaBeouf off from the movie’s promotional videos. Netflix, with this bold step once again proves that they support the right and has shown their support towards FKA Twigs.

At this moment it is being said that Shia LaBeouf is planning to go to rehab with the help of his doctors and present girlfriend Margaret Qualley.
