Netflix Reveals ‘You’ Season 3 Release Date & Teaser; And It’s Creepy As Hell!

Netflix Reveals ‘You’ Season 3 Release Date & Teaser; And It’s Creepy As Hell!

Netflix has just dropped the ‘You’ Season 3 release date, along with it’s first teaser; and let us warn you in advance—it’s creepy AF! Before going into the details, here’s the most important one – ‘You’ Season 3 premieres on Netflix on October 15, 2021! Yes, we know! Fans of the terrifying stalker show can’t wait for October 15 to show up quickly enough. Judging by the first teaser, they’re likely to get even more excited and restless for the new season of ‘You’ to begin streaming.

To say that the ‘You’ Season 3 teaser and date announcement video is creepy would be an understatement. The teaser takes up from the big reveal of You Season 2 — Joe and Love are expecting their first baby together. However, we see none of the characters in the teaser, just a voice-over from Joe that manages to raise the hair on the back of your neck.

Joe (played by Penn Badgley) says in the voice-over, “People these days will name their kids anything to get attention. And despite your mother’s background and your Glamma’s determination to refer to you as Forty reincarnated, I know better.” He continues, “A boy is not what we expected, and I would be lying if I said the thought of a mini-me was purely exciting and not without challenges. Let’s just say, I’m hoping you’ll do as I say, not as I do.”

The first part of the voice-over immediately raises the thought that Joe will be an authoritarian father, who might use unconventional means to enforce his dictum. And the thought is truly terrifying.

Joe continues, “But for you, I can change. I’ll be a man you look up to. A man you will be proud to call Dad. So, what to call you? A name that’s strong, but not intimidating. Classic, but not basic. Literary, of course, because you will grow up in a house full of books. ‘Henry’. Choosing your name is the first of a lifetime of decisions I’ll make to give you the best life possible, to protect you, to shape who you will become. Who are you going to be, Henry?”

All the while, we can see Joe’s hands, as he bakes a big white cake, and letters it in….red. The red icing looks like blood dripping down; a large, gleaming knife adds to the disturbing vibes; and finally, a large glass box features prominently in the visuals. Brrrr, it all adds up to give the most hair-raising sense of foreboding ever.

Admittedly, the makers of You have outdone themselves with the first teaser. It is truly creepy and creative. And we just can’t wait for ‘You’ Season 3 to arrive on Netflix! ‘You’ is a thriller and action drama, featuring a psychotic serial killer who has the quirky trait of stalking the women he is in love with. He takes his obsession to another level altogether, even going on a spate of murders to hide his dangerous activities.

‘You’ Season 3 features Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti reprising their roles of Joe and Love. The cast also includes Saffron Burrows, Tati Gabrielle, Dylan Arnold, Shalita Grant, Travis Van Winkle, Scott Speedman, Michaela McManus, Shannon Chan-Kent, Ben Menhl, Chris O’Shea, and Christopher Sean.

‘You’ Season 3 arrives on Netflix on October 15th, 2021. Have a look at the first teaser –
