Blockbuster series Bridgerton’s breakout star Regé-Jean Page is returning to the Netflix fold with a new movie in development. Touted to be a heist film, it has stellar pedigree behind it. The film is being produced by the Russo Brothers, under their production company AGBO. Emmy-winning Fargo creator Noah Hawley is in charge of the direction of the film, from a script he has conceived and written.
The plot of the heist thriller is still under wraps. Noah Hawley will also co-produce the film, along with AGBO. In addition to starring in the film, Regé-Jean Page comes on board as executive producer, along with Angela Russo-Otstot.
After roping in the Russo Brothers for the monstrous hit “Extraction“, Netflix has further cemented its relationship with the duo in recent times. The streaming giant has “The Gray Man” in development with them, starring Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas and Page. Now this new heist film is next in line in the Netflix – Russo Brothers collaboration.
Regé-Jean Page’s fortunes have been on the ascent ever since he appeared in the 2016 “Roots” revival. He became a legit star with Netflix’s superhit “Bridgerton”. Page has several interesting projects coming up, including “The Gray Man” and Paramount’s live action “Dungeons and Dragons”. He’s also a popular contender to take on the mantle of James Bond after Daniel Craig’s exit from the franchise.
