One of the key steps that Netflix took as a measure to revive against so many odds was the inclusion of live streaming on its platform. They were to start with the Chris Rock show called Chris Rock Selective Outrage on the 5th of March.
But, there is a surprise, there is a new title coming for live streaming. And it looks like a new and sudden partnership and perhaps that’s the reason they kept its live streaming on their YouTube channel instead of their app.
We are talking about Screen Actors Guild Awards aka SAG Awards. They are highly reputed and sought after award shows not only in the USA but all over the world.
So on the 27th of February from 6:30 AM in India, the YouTube channel of Netflix will start hosting the star studded Award show. In fact, this is not a one year deal as it will continue for several years like this.
It is not a very remarkable step as a lot of people won’t remember Netflix for free streaming of the SAG Awards, especially when it is streaming free on their YouTube channel. It is more of those small steps that keep the existing subscribers stuck to the platform. And it is precisely what Netflix needs at this hour.
Several big films like The Banshees Of Insherin, All Quite On Western Front and more have been nominated. Stay tuned to Binged for more updates about the show.
