It has been confirmed that Season 6 will explore key events surrounding the Royal Family during the late 1990s and early 2000s. The forthcoming entry will also explore Princess Diana’s death and focus on the events that led to her controversial and highly publicised car crash. Though, it will not depict the horrifying incident. Elizabeth Debicki will reprise the role of Princess Diana in the sixth season.
After Diana’s death, the series’ focus will shift to Prince William and Kate Middleton. Meg Bellamy is set to portray the latter figure. On the other hand, Ed McVey will play Prince William.
Other notable performers, such as Imelda Staunton, Dominic West, Jonathan Pryce, and Leslie Manville, will also return to reprise their respective characters in The Crown Season 6. Stay tuned for more updates.
