Netflix has dropped the full trailer of Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan’s ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story’, starring Nicholas Alexander Chavez and Cooper Koch as Lyle and Erik Menendez, respectively. Alongside the newcomers we see Javier Bardem (Dune: Part Two) and Chloe Sevigny (Party Monster) portraying the brothers’ late parents, Jose and Kitty Menendez.
The series is based on the true story of the Menendez brothers, Lyle and Erik, who were found guilty of killing their parents in 1996. They murdered their parents with shotguns. Despite initial alibis, evidence pointed to their involvement in the brutal crime. The brothers have maintained their innocence, claiming years of abuse by their parents. The series will offer a new perspective on this infamous case, exploring the details of the crime, the investigation, and the brothers’ defense. It also delves into the public fascination with the case and the lasting impact on the family.
The rest of the show’s cast includes talents such as Nathan Lane (Only Murders in the Building), Leslie Grossman (American Horror Story), Aru Graynor (I’m Dying Up Here), Jason Butler Harner (Ozark), Paul Adelstein (Private Practice), Dallas Roberts (The L Word), Michael Gladis (Mad Men), Drew Powell (Gotham), Jeff Perry (Prison Break), Enrique Murciano (Without a Trace), and more.
