First poster and pre-teaser trailer for Netflix’s unique new Korean thriller drama series ‘Squid Game’ are here. Helmed by Hwang Dong-hyuk (‘The Fortress,’ ‘Miss Granny’, ‘Silenced’), ‘Squid Game’ will premiere on Netflix globally on 17th September, 2021.
‘Squid Game’ is an imaginative, unorthodox story in which 456 contestants risk their lives in a mysterious survival game for a chance to win 45.6 billion won. The title is a reference to a simple yet physical and aggressive children’s game played in neighborhood alleyways.
The intriguing first poster unveiled by Netflix features a man in green track suit being dragged by a man in pink track suit and behind them is a big black box wrapped with a pink ribbon. The tag line on the poster says, “45.6 Billion Is Child’s Play’.

Netflix also dropped the first pre-teaser trailer for the ‘Squid Game’ that gives a glimpse into the thrilling series which is set in the theme of a game show where 456 participants are gathered in an unknown location and all of them play one game each day as they race towards the prize of 45.6 billion won.
More than often the contestants are seen putting them it lives in danger as the price of failure is death, and only one contestant can survive to claim the prize. How did this diverse group of people end up here, and who is the mastermind behind these games?
The first looks of the show set an interesting tone for the show that not just has a unique title and premise but is an unconventional combination of classic childhood fun and the contemporary rat race.
Written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, ‘Squid Game’ stars Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo, Oh Young-soo, Wi Ha-Jun, Jung Ho-yeon, Heo Sung-tae, Anupam and Kim Joo-ryoung. Siren Pictures Inc. has produced the series.
